70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot.

Excellent example of a traditional savoury Bordeaux, from a great vintage. Dark ruby-purple colour, aromas of plump black plums, black currant & tobacco with hints of smoked meats. Full bodied, oodles of dark savoury flavours and firm full tannins. Excellent balance and drinking at its peak now.

This is the newly arrived 2018 vintage, a warm year that showcases fine tannins and good fruit intensity.

Bordeaux makes mostly red wines, and is the ancestral home of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The sub regions are driven by soil types, those on the 'Left Bank' featuring bold Cabernet based blends from stony-gravel soils. The Right bank produces more supple Merlot based blends from clay & limestone. From easy drinking everyday wines to some of the most exclusive wines in the world.
